There is a lot in the calendar so make sure and you use the My Macaroni Button (on the left of the page towards the top) to separate out what will be fun to do, or will occupy everyone. I love the libraries, this week both Denver and Anythink have some really fun stuff for everyone from babies to teens! and yes some stuff for moms and dads so check out the calendar. I also recommend checking out Leslie's article (the Macaroni Mom from Thornton, Northglenn, and Brighton) on Local Outdoor Ice Skating Venues!!

Just because I am on vacation does not mean there isn't a lot to do in this newsletter. Entenmann's has a new program for schools to check out called the Little Bites Pouch Brigade and you can help teach your kids how to pay it forward with Blessing Bags for the Homeless. Here are two ways to keep idle hands busy indoors try Indoor Snow and Balloon Badmitton. Then there are some ideas for cooking up some treats: try Yogurt DropsPeppermint Oreo Bark, and from our very own Highlands Ranch Macaroni Mom we have Snickerdoodle Blondies.

*One of the new features this week is neighborhood specific articles. There are only a few right now but I am working to increase this handy feature and love input!
*I am also including a Resources for Homeschoolers that has all the area (Denver Metro) programs and resources for homeschoolers.
*we now have the information for the two libraries in our area-the Commerce City Anythink and the Denver Public Sam Gary.  As always the articles are always being updated so keep checking back

Some ideas for everyday fun are Free Tours you can plan to do with your kids, also plenty of other Things to Keep your Winter Busy

Tweens and Teens, the Commerce City Youth and Teen Advisory Committee is being updated so please check back.

Are you looking for ways to Support our Military Forces  and by doing so you can teach your kids the value and cost of our freedom, be sure to check out the Macaroni Military newsletter also.

All the school information for 27J schools and Adams 14 schools, including preschool information can be found updated weekly. So click on 27J or on Adams 14 and read all about your school. Here is a copy of the 27J Compass for more information on the wonderful accomplishments of the students and staff in 27J.

This weeks Calendar is so full of activities and free days that it would be difficult to tell them all! Please check it out and plus you can make your own calendar with what you want your kids to see and not see by clicking on the "+ add to my macaroni" on the calendar page!

Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge   and Parks and Trails  will get you out and having fun and now you can read about how to safely Live with Wildlife in Colorado.

More ideas at Metro Area Macaroni Moms , the National Macaroni Kid page, and the National Newsletters.  This weeks Family Travel makes me want to hit the road, the Safety Announcements newsletter includes important recalls, Macaroni Kid EATS! has fun and new recipes to help answer the ongoing dinner question, Macaroni Military has all the info to keep all of our military families "in the know", Macaroni Family Fitness has some very new and creative ideas to keep your family fit-did you know the number of preschool children that are obese is dropping finally-yay to everyone, and finally Macaroni Stork will keep informed if you are planning on becoming pregnant, are expecting or have babies-even if you just know someone like that!

Have your say
