4 Great Parks and Playgrounds in Central Park-Commerce City-Northfield

We are lucky in our Central Park-Commerce City-Northfield neighborhoods to have so many great playgrounds and parks to explore. From swings to slides, to climbing walls and water features, our parks and playgrounds keep our kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new! friends), and they're FREE!

I often get asked what our favorite playgrounds are, so I thought I'd share here with you my family's picks for our top five playgrounds and parks to visit in our neighborhoods.

Veteran's Memorial Park

6049 Forest Drive 

Commerce City, CO 80022 

What we love about Veteran's Memorial Park: 

Commerce City recently rebuild Veteran's Memorial Park to include three separate play areas - one for toddlers, one for older kids and a nature play area with logs and boulders.

Founder's Green & Amphitheatre

7601 29th Avenue

Denver, CO 80238

What we love about Founder's Green & Amphitheatre: 

Rimmed by oak trees and distinguished by a sculptural fountain, this park has a festive vibe that makes it the perfect venue. Residents are treated to weekly farmers markets, an art and antique market, regular concerts, Movies on The Green, and even a little Shakespeare at Theatre on The Green … just to name some of the fun.

Conservatory Green & Amphitheatre

What we love about Conservatory Green & Amphitheatre

 This customizable facility boasts a cozy setting for family-friendly concerts and markets. They host weekly summer events of all types.

Amenities at Conservatory Green & Amphitheatre: 

Located in the Conservatory Green neighborhood off 49th & Valentia, The amphitheater features beautiful grassy seating for around 2,000 and has restrooms. For more information, email signup@stapletoncommunity.com or fill out the Reservation Request form.

Pioneer Park

What we love about Pioneer Park: 

Pioneer Park in Commerce City is a wonderful place that has just about everything for everyone. As Commerce City's largest park with 37 acres, you can play ball, sit in the grass and watch the kids play in the spray ground, enjoy the skate park and much more!

Amenities at Pioneer Park: 

What are the amenities here parents will care about? Ones to think about: bathrooms, water features, handicap accessibility, picnic tables, trails, etc. Not sure?
